Legitimate bulk mailing lists are permitted on our VPS Servers network if the bulk email meets the following criteria:
1) The recipient has confirmed his willingness to be added to the distribution list of the mailing, by responding to a verification email, or, otherwise, verifiably confirming permission. (Evidence of such must be retained and available by request.)
2) Messages should include: Valid headers, removal instructions, and information on the method by which the subscribed address was obtained.
- You may not obscure the source of your e-mail in any manner. Your e-mail must include the recipients e-mail address in the body of the message or in the “TO” line of the e-mail; and
- The body of the e-mail must describe how the e-mail address was obtained, for example, “You opted in to receive this e-mail promotion from our Web site or from one of our partner sites,” and information on how to request evidence of the consent, for example, “If you would like to learn more about how we received your e-mail address please contact us at abuse@sender.net.
- You must have procedures in place that allow a recipient to easily revoke their consent – such as a link in the body of the e-mail, or instructions to reply with the word “Remove” in the subject line.
Revocations of consent are honored within 72 hours, and you notify recipients that their revocation of their consent will be honored in 72 hours.
3) All bulk email senders must post privacy policies, in association with the sending domains. Co-registration is not prohibited, but explanations of the sharing of information must be both publicly available and included in the confirmation mechanism for list subscription.
If Fame Hosting approaches a client for evidence of confirmation, this request must be honored within 24 hours. Failure to meet the acceptable criteria for bulk mail may lead to immediate termination.
We have a no-tolerance approach to SPAM mail being sent on our VPS Dedicated Servers and Private Email Servers. If you are found to be taking part in SPAM mailing then your account will be terminated, no compensation will be given and you may be charged up to Rs. 10,000.00 for your illegal use of SPAM. Fame Hosting reserves the right to pursue civil remedies for any costs associated with the investigation of a substantiated policy violation. Fame Hosting will notify law enforcement officials if the violation is believed to be a criminal offense. |
