Installing your SSL Certificate / Web Server Certificate / Secure Server Certificate from RapidSSL.com |

Your certificate will be sent to you by email. The email message includes the web server certificate that you purchased in the body of the email message.
Copy your web server certificate into a text editor such as notepad and save as yourdomain.crt.
Copy the Root CA certificate found at the bottom of this page into a text editor such as notepad and save it as root.crt
Install the Root CA certificate : |

Click the Key Ring tab.

Click the Show Trusted roots box in the lower left corner - all the existing Trusted Roots are displayed .

Click on Add Trusted Root button. |
| 4. |
At the Files of type box select All files . Locate the file root.crt previously saved, and click Open |
| Install your web server certificate |
| 1. |
Right click on your black key ring that displays the yellow question mark

Select . |

Seect Attach Certificate . |
| 5. |
Select Files of type All files and open the certificate file root.crt. |
Notice that your keyring is now green and ready to use
Click Yes to update the server settings.
Restart your server.
Test your certificate by connecting to your server.
Use the https protocol directive (e.g. https://your server/) to indicate you wish to use secure HTTP.
Note: The padlock icon on your Web browser will be displayed in the locked position if you have set up your site properly. |
